About the Role: Remote US Senior Accountant

We’re looking for a tech-savvy, detail-obsessed Senior Accountant to support our U.S.-based clients — mainly in the trades and construction industries. You will be the right-hand person for business owners who rely on clean books and meaningful financial reports to drive smart decisions.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong U.S. accounting background, a QBO ProAdvisor certification, and experience managing multiple client accounts. If you love spreadsheets, job costing, and solving problems before they become issues — this is for you.

Key Responsibilities

<ul>
	<li>Client Communication: Manage client relationships via Zoom, chat, and email — you’ll be the go-to for all things financial.</li>
	<li>Full Cycle Accounting: Handle AP/AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, sales tax, and advanced month-end close processes.</li>
	<li>Reporting &amp; Analysis: Prepare timely and accurate financials, clean balance sheets, and provide actionable insights.</li>
	<li>System Optimization: Maintain and improve cloud-based systems like QBO, and propose process improvements.</li>
	<li>Construction Accounting (Preferred): Job costing, WIP, deferred revenue, and margin tracking.</li>
</ul>

 

You’ll Succeed If You Have:

<ul>
	<li>5+ years of accounting experience</li>
	<li>1+ year of US Accounting background</li>
	<li>1+ year of QuickBooks Online experience</li>
	<li>QBO ProAdvisor certification (preferred)</li>
	<li>Strong understanding of GAAP</li>
	<li>Experience working remotely with U.S. clients</li>
	<li>Confidence juggling multiple client accounts</li>
	<li>Great communication and client service skills</li>
	<li>Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills</li>
	<li>Bonus: Experience in the home services or construction industries</li>
</ul>
