The Content Writer will be responsible for developing Filipino learning materials for the elementary level, in collaboration with other writers, editors, and subject-matter specialists. The engagement will be project-based and intermittent over a nine (9)-month period from July 2026 to March 2027, subject to adjustments based on project requirements and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Planning and Content Development
- Participate in planning discussions related to the development of learning materials and supporting resources.
- Contribute to the establishment of editorial and language standards to ensure consistency across project outputs.
2. Manuscript Development and Content Management
- Develop assigned learning content based on provided instructional frameworks, pedagogical guidelines, and curriculum competencies.
- Revise and refine content based on editorial reviews and feedback to ensure quality, clarity, and alignment with educational objectives.
3. Editorial Coordination and Quality Assurance
- Work closely with editors, consultants, proofreaders, designers, and other collaborators to maintain the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of learning materials.
- Ensure that content is age-appropriate, culturally relevant, and pedagogically sound
4. Design and Production Coordination
- Coordinate with designers and illustrators to ensure that written and visual elements work cohesively and support learner engagement.
5. Curriculum Alignment
- Collaborate with other content developers to maintain consistency and alignment across related learning resources and teacher-support materials.
6. Production Support
- Assist, as needed, in the preparation and finalization of materials for print and/or digital release.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least three (3) years of experience teaching Filipino or Araling Panlipunan at the elementary level (Grades 1–6), or equivalent experience developing educational materials written in Filipino
- Excellent command of the Filipino language, including grammar, syntax, tone, and usage
- Strong understanding of curriculum standards, pedagogy, and learner development
- Ability to evaluate materials for age appropriateness, clarity, and learner engagement
- Strong collaboration and revision management skills
