Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Grade Level Coordinator 2, the Pupil-Aide is expected to attend to the safety and well-being of the Grade 2 students.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Attends to the students’ requirements for assistance related to nutrition, hygiene and personal necessities
- Assists students who soil their pants, use the toilet, vomit, etc.
- Rinses the child’s soiled clothes/pants, puts it in a bag and gives it to the child for him to take it home.
- Attends to the student’s medication and food by getting them from the Information Office and hands them over to authorized recipients.
- Teaches the child on proper use of the bidet and the right way to wash.
- Teaches the child to wash hands before leaving the washroom.
- Makes sure there is soap and tissue paper always in the washroom, if it is depleted, ask from the GLCs for replacement.
- Keeps track of the students during Recess Time and teaches them to pick up the litter.
- Assists during recess, lunch and dismissal time of Grade 2:
- During the dismissal, makes sure that the Grade 2 students proceed to the dismissal area without any trouble.
- Records her duties for the day in a logbook.
- Assists in the preparation of materials needed for the different GL activities:
- Attends to grade level teachers’ classroom requirements
- Assists in the preparation of the assigned bulletin boards for Grade 2.
- Joins the grade level activities (e.g. Sportsfest, Celebration of the Word, etc.).
- Follows the university’s compliance to the Data Privacy Law, bringing of left school materials at home to the classroom
- Performs such other duties that may be requested by the supervisor and administrator
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- People-oriented and exhibits genuine care and concern for young students
- Good oral and written communication skills (English and Filipino)
- Proficient in MS Office and Programs, Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- A year of experience in a school-setting is an advantage
