Data Analyst | Bank Rates and Fees

We're seeking a talented Data Analyst to help maintain our bank rates and fees data, ensuring it is comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date. This role is a crucial part of our continued commitment to provide reliable and insightful content to our readers.

This role is fully remote. The ideal candidate has a keen understanding of American banking products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, process, and manage bank rates and fees data from a variety of sources including bank websites, financial documents, and direct communications.
• Conduct rigorous data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Work closely with the editorial team to provide data insights and support content creation.
• Engage in periodic data audits and cleanup.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for data gathering and validation.
• Use data analytics tools to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within the banking sector.
• Present data in a digestible and actionable format for both internal stakeholders and readers.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in data management, statistics or analytics, preferably within the Financial Services or Banking sector.
• Proficient in data analysis tools and software, including Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, and Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio).
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines.
• Fast learner with the ability to work autonomously and in team settings.
• Strong familiarity with the American banking landscape and financial products.
• Prior experience in a publishing or content-driven company is an added advantage.
