Software Engineer  

This is a fully remote / work from home role and will be a consulting engagement with EarthTrack's Singapore entity (not a local Philippines employment agreement).

As a Software Engineer with EarthTrack, your role is pivotal in crafting and shaping both front-end web architecture and hybrid mobile applications. Collaborating closely with the CTO, Technical Lead, and fellow Developers, you'll ensure the responsiveness of applications and oversee all facets of a project, from its inception to completion. We seek an individual with meticulous attention to detail, a robust technical background, and a fervor for staying abreast of the latest advancements in web and hybrid mobile application development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engineer cutting-edge front-end website architecture and hybrid mobile applications, leveraging advanced technologies such as ReactJS (hooks) and React Native.
2. Artfully design user interactions on web pages and hybrid mobile apps to deliver a seamless and optimal user experience.
3. Innovate and develop robust back-end applications, meticulously crafting services and databases to support seamless functionality.
4. Ensure our applications boast unparalleled responsiveness across a diverse array of devices.
5. Spearhead the design and development of APIs, elevating functionality and connectivity to new heights.

You will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer based in Singapore.

Requirements:

1. A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2. For experienced developers: 5+ years of experience with JavaScript, Node.js, and TypeScript or 5+ years of proficiency in ReactJS/React Native/TypeScript.
3. For exceptional fresh graduates: If you are from a reputable school, have graduated with honors, and can showcase projects of equivalent value to real-world experience, we welcome your application.
4. Hands-on experience with REST, WebSocket, and databases like PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
5. Understanding of asynchronous development.
6. Ability to write well-documented and readable code for easy maintenance.
7. Knowledge of unit and end-to-end testing processes.
8. Self-motivated and goal-oriented approach to tasks and projects.
9. Excellent verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
10. Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and find creative solutions.
11. Meticulous attention to detail to deliver high-quality work.

Nice to have:

1. Familiarity with NestJS.

2. Experience with Storybook.

3. Proficiency in Git.

4. Knowledge of AWS and cloud infrastructure.

5. Experience with Docker.
