Team Lead Accountant  

Area of Responsibility:

• Objective for the company
• Ensuring systematic recording and monitoring of the flow of money and services, in compliance with legal requirements.
• Oversee the recording and maintenance of business transactions (bookkeeping)
• Responsible for accounts clarification (General ledger accounts, customer accounts, vendor accounts).
• Oversee and analysis of accounts payable, receivable and reconciliation reports.
• Preparation of tax returns and other related business tax.
• Assisting in statutory audits and tax audits
• Responsible for handling internal and external financial accounts
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly & annual financial statements
• Dunning system in the context of purchase management
• Providing accounting guidance through collaborations with the team and other involved departments locally and globally.
• Supporting in accounting/finance process improvement initiatives.
• Lead a team of accountants, providing guidance, support and mentorship to team members.

Core tasks/Task description:

• Responsibility and Authority
• Implementation in accordance with the principles of sound accounting and local commercial law
• Recording, presentation, control, evaluation and planning of operational event.

Background:

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accountancy or any related courses
• Has 5-7 years professional experience in financial accounting or similar function
• Proven experience in German bookkeeping
• Knowledge in Germany's commercial code and accounting standards (HGB), GAAP and IFRS
• Analytical, organized, methodical with keen attention to detail
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working
• Preferably with MS Dynamics 365 Business Central experience
• Proficient in using of Microsoft tools (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, MS Teams)
• Commitment to delivering outstanding client service
• Strong communication skills and ability to converse in business English to different
• Senior department heads and external stakeholders
• Nice to have: International bookkeeping certification
