Urgent! Linguist [Application Support Specialist]  

Job Description:

• Primary responsibilities include audio transcription, speech data collection, language model training, data annotation, and translation services.

Capability Requirements:

• To support AI language model development by ensuring linguistic accuracy in English and Filipino through validated text/audio data, refined pronunciation and diacritic usage, and high-quality reference audio recording.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze bilingual text and audio datasets (English & Filipino).
• Transcribe spoken content with proper pronunciation, stress, and accent markers.
• Correct and validate linguistic files for accuracy and consistency.
• Record reference audio with diacritics and stress markers applied.
• Ensure linguistic, phonetic, and cultural accuracy in annotated datasets.
• Collaborate with the project team to maintain data quality and consistency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or Masters in linguistic or relevant field, with demonstrated expertise in linguistic analysis and research.
• Experience working with diverse linguistic datasets and phonetic transcriptions.
• Strong bilingual command of English and Filipino (oral & written)
• Native or near-native proficiency level in Filipino is required.
• Excellent transcription, listening comprehension, and proofreading skills.
• Trained in phonemic and phonetic transcriptions (ipa and / or xsampa)
• Familiar with the latest trend in the Philippines
