Sales Support Specialist for Airfreight and Seafreight  

Key Responsibilities

• Quoting against network inquiries: Prepare, send out, and gather feedback against inquiries arriving from our network partners.
  • Basis of quotation: mainly CW and specially designated excel files, both LCL and FCL, mainly DAP destination quotations that could be set up from readily available ratelists, and communicated in written form in English.
• Rate Card Creation: Build comprehensive rate cards in Excel based on specific client requests, focusing on various origin and destination port pairs.
• Margin Application: Accurately apply designated profit margins and pricing instructions provided by the Rate Card Manager to base rates.
• System Administration: Enter, update, and manage rate card data within the CargoWise TMS (Transportation Management System) and designated excel sheet
• Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding rate card inquiries. Answer questions related to freight validity, shipping line details, and port-to-port routing. This is to be negotiated internally still, communication especially with Hungarial local clients might face language barriers.
• Internal Coordination: Collaborate seamlessly with the internal Sales and Operations teams.
• Quote Modification: Process client feedback (e.g., requests for rate reductions or route modifications), coordinate internally for approval, and update rate cards accordingly. See same as with customer communication.
• Operational Handover: Once a rate card receives a "green light" from the client, accurately transition the order to the Operational team for shipment execution.

• Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for daily rate card building.
• System Experience: Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems; specific experience with CargoWise is a significant advantage.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain pricing terms to customers and coordinate with internal departments.
• Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of logistics, freight forwarding terminology (e.g., port-to-port, shipping lines, validity), and terms and conditions.
• Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Ability to handle complex data, follow strict pricing instructions, and manage a daily volume of quotations with high accuracy.
