Search is changing.
Customers are increasingly discovering products through Google Shopping, AI assistants and emerging AI-powered shopping experiences rather than traditional search alone.
This is not a traditional SEO role.
If you believe SEO is primarily blogs and backlinks, this role is probably not for you. We're far more interested in product discovery, AI search, Google Merchant Centre and structured data.
We're looking for someone with strong SEO foundations and an open mind. Someone who is curious about AI search, Google Merchant Centre, structured data, product feeds and how products are discovered across evolving search experiences.
We don't expect you to have all the answers.
We do expect curiosity, analytical thinking and a willingness to challenge conventional SEO thinking.
Key responsibilities:
• Monitor organic search, Google Shopping and emerging AI discovery channels to identify opportunities for growth.
• Own Google Merchant Centre performance, including diagnostics, feed quality, product enrichments, attribute completeness and issue resolution.
• Analyse search performance using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush and Ahrefs.
• Identify opportunities to improve product titles, descriptions, attributes and category structures.
• Review and improve structured data, product feeds, rich results and product discoverability.
• Monitor AI search experiences and evaluate how products are surfaced across evolving search platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, marketers and ecommerce stakeholders to prioritise and implement improvements.
• Build dashboards, reports and actionable insights to measure performance and identify opportunities.
• Investigate search trends, customer behaviour and competitor activity to uncover new opportunities.
• Identify opportunities for FAQs, reviews and other trust signals that improve product visibility.
• Help shape product taxonomy, filters and metadata standards to improve customer experience and search performance.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in AI search, agentic commerce and digital discovery.
• Recommend and test new approaches that improve how customers discover products online.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 2+ years' experience in SEO, digital marketing, ecommerce or analytics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, data and reporting tools.
- Experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of technical SEO fundamentals, search intent and structured data.
- Curious mindset and willingness to challenge conventional SEO thinking.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
- Interest in AI search, structured data and emerging commerce technologies.
